Stoney Creek, Hamilton

Detailing, PPF & Tint for Stoney Creek Drivers

The Short Answer

From the Old Town to Upper Stoney Creek

If you are in Stoney Creek, you can request a quote and arrange a drop-off appointment at our Ancaster studio for paint protection film, ceramic coating, window tint, vinyl wraps and detailing. We work by appointment on weekdays. Call or email to pick a day, drop the car off, and we phone you when it is done.

Stoney Creek joined the City of Hamilton in 2001. Its historic Old Town sits below the Niagara Escarpment while Upper Stoney Creek spreads across the top, so plenty of local errands include a climb.

What Stoney Creek Driving Does to a Car

QEW interchanges and the Red Hill

Inside Hamilton, the QEW crosses Stoney Creek with interchanges at Fifty Road, Fruitland Road and Centennial Parkway. The Centennial interchange is tied in with the Red Hill Valley Parkway junction, where the freeway widens to eight lanes. Merging traffic at speed sends a steady spray of grit at bumpers and hoods.

If that is your daily route, read about front-end film coverage.

Centennial Parkway and Mud Street

Centennial Parkway was once Highway 20, which climbed the escarpment through a cut dug in the 1930s. The City contracts out anti-icing, salting and plowing on its busiest Priority 1 roads, and its November 2018 winter update names Centennial Parkway and Mud Street in that group. Cars that use them pick up treatment early in every storm.

Winona, Fruitland and the farm roads

Most of Stoney Creek's land is still agricultural, with communities such as Winona, Fruitland, Vinemount and Tapleytown on the lake plain and up the escarpment. The City aims to have rural roads centre bare or snow packed within a day of a storm ending, so cars out there spend longer on packed snow and sand.

Stoney Creek FAQ

Common Questions

Is Stoney Creek a long way to come?

Stoney Creek is part of the City of Hamilton, as is our Ancaster studio. The car stays with us while we work, so you drop it off once and collect it when we call. A replacement rental can cover the time in between.

Can you wrap or protect a work van from Stoney Creek?

Yes. Vans, pickups and company cars can be wrapped, detailed or protected, and a business with several vehicles can set up a fleet account with one invoice.

When should I rinse off winter salt?

Whenever it is mild enough for a proper rinse, and especially right after a storm, when the main roads have just been treated. Start with the lower doors, rocker panels and wheel wells. Our road salt guide goes further.
